We Believe in our Slogan: “Eat. Real. Bread.”
Our Mission: to create and provide unique, original, fresh, and delicious baked goods to the public. Since our beginning in 2008, all of our baked goods have always been hand-crafted in small batches. We use only bleach-free, non GMO, all natural, whole White Wheat, and our current goal is to go 100% Organic as soon as we can budget it. We don’t use preservatives, food coloring, fillers, dough conditioners, or any other chemical additives or supplements. Our base for all of our breads is a simple mixture of six ingredients: Our previously mentioned all-natural, unbleached flour, raw, organic cane sugar (non-GMO, no bone char), sea salt, filtered water, dehydrated natural yeast, and either sweet cream, unsalted Butter, or organic olive or coconut oil. We believe that quality affects flavor– so no imitation extracts. We only use pure Vanilla and make our own Kahlua. We buy or trade at our local farmer’s markets for as much fresh produce as possible, and when possible pick our produce. We want to only ever give you something we’re proud of, and that we’d eat.
Some of our selections change on a weekly basis depending on seasonal availability. We also strongly believe in researching historical recipes and unearthing fabulous culinary ideas and long-forgotten flavors and use them in our quest for more wonderful baked goods. We love baking and put our whole hearts into making our baked goods- our philosophy- “Everything made with love, or forget it!” We are a tiny, yet, unique bakery in the vast sea of bakeries worldwide. What makes us different? Every bakery for approximately the last 2000 years has been making the same four or five different types of bread. There is nothing wrong with these breads, but as human beings we should stretch out and explore and create whenever we possibly can. Recognizing this and honoring it, we have struck out in a grand adventure, and we are paying homage to the great art of making bread, but going in a new direction with our flavors. Ready to taste?
